Higher Logic’s Andy Steggles to Address Associations World Congress on Online Community Engagement

Two Sessions Will Cover Best Practices Related to Understanding the Member Journey and Deepening Engagement

London — April 26, 2017 — Higher Logic today announced it will be sponsoring the Associations World Congress 2017 taking place May 2-4, 2017, at Austria Center Vienna in Vienna, Austria. Higher Logic President and Co-founder Andy Steggles will deliver two presentations, “Benchmarking for Member Engagement Success” and “Journey Mapping and Member Service Automation.” Selected as an Associations World Congress 2017 Business Partner, Higher Logic will have a kiosk the event.

Hosted by the Association of Association Executives (formerly Associations Network), the Associations World Congress is the largest gathering of association professionals in Europe, with delegates from European, international, national and other regional membership organisations. Delegates are from a wide variety of sectors and all types of organisations: professional, trade, federation, governing bodies, forums, councils and more.

Andy Steggles, who is helping drive Higher Logic’s ongoing effort to create the most comprehensive platform for online communities, will deliver “Benchmarking for Member Engagement Success.” This session looks at the results of a detailed study of engagement data of more than 30 million members from over 1,000 associations. The MGI & Higher Logic Association Community Benchmarking Report was created to identify what works best for different types of associations. Session topics include cutting-edge member engagement strategies and the results they have generated, case studies discussing the member journey and how to map engagement opportunities into a meaningful member experience, key metrics organizations are leveraging to measure their success, and best practices surrounding the most common member journeys.

Steggles will also present “Journey Mapping and Member Service Automation.” This expert briefing will discuss how to enable staff to provide a high-touch member service in a smarter, more meaningful way. Topics include how organisations are mapping their most important member journeys, identifying conversion criteria, and automating high-value member interactions. Attendees will learn how just a couple of hours’ worth of proactive effort implementing some simple automation can generate a 50 percent conversion rate, while providing meaningful outreach to thousands of members.

"I’m excited to attend the Associations World Congress and share some of the latest best practices related to understanding the member journey and increasing member engagement,” said Steggles. “I think attendees will be very impressed with how easy it is to combine an understanding of members with a little automation to take a community to a whole new level of engagement.
